As usual the mistakes of the bosses being paid for by the juniors, when will we get out of this mess ?

It's terribly unfair. And it's usually the loyal juniors who suffer the most.

Sad but what to do

Yeah. We just have to remember as employees, our jobs are as secure as the notice period in the contract.

No one owes us anything, yet we spend so much more than the 40 hours a week at work (or whatever contracts say) and let it take control of our lives.

It is mismanagement that leads to some of these consequences. A small mistake in the airline industry sends an operator back to the drawing board. In the case of KQ, it seems so many mistakes were committed and the consequences are now evident.

It is better for them to go rather than wait for the unthinkable. I hope it does not lead to another strike by the pilots.

guinea worm in this company and will take time and skill to remove. which stage has kquians entered now and for how long shall they be campaigning there. how many more phases are remaining? restructuring and down sizing after sale of assets has been long overdue. one off restructuring cost. McKinsey report just set the ball rolling but they kept the secret with themselves coz nguzio is truly unaware of what's happening with his pride centre. systematic surgical procedure anesthesia stage by stage. kufionzia pole pole till the parasites have another host to feast on. kuvumiliana mingi hapo ndio utamaliza kq

Work life is too focused on the company and not the staff. This is a sad fact in life. Only your mother cares deeply for you, the others are debatable

I hope that someone from somewhere is touched to realize that radical surgery at the top is part of what is required. Otherwise, this retrenchment is going to be an exercise in futility.

no, @ obiero I differ. its so painful to see wealthy men and women of stature, courageously and with strain give kq a chance to dispose off assets, down size the company as well as their hearty wealth to let off the employees with decency. None of these ever aware timid small time thieving employees would have dared blow off the whistle given chance, but kq is still kind enough to send them off atleast with a recommendation letter without a warning of known vices to the next potential employer.
paining continues at kq. no pain no gain. peace

@maka people aren't seeing the radical surgery being undertaken.. It's better we let time be the judge of whether Ngunze was the right man for this job. For now, I just know that OPEX is massively on its way down

100,000/- ... Let me narrow down my shortlist.
