I doubt...it was an old escalator that wasnt even in use and instead of KAA stopping guys from using it waliangalia tu...negligence...it was graphic 3 of the kids were badly hurt,one had the leg almost cut off...They will most likely be sued in this,today KQ went live on terminal 1A yet it's not 100% complete...The director ground services is under pressure from the govt to ensure that the new facility is operational.

OPS ALERT:Sun 05Jan. JKIA RWY closed. A Fokker 50 Acft operated by Skyward has belly landed at JKIA. Recovery plans underway
Flwg flts diverting to MBA KQ8603, KQ603, KQ605,KQ351 and KQ481. Major Flt schedule disruptions expected. OCC/Mwaura

4th JAN update: All to note that all departures out of and arrivals into JKIA to be advised. Next update 1400hrs. This is due to aircraft disabled on the runway. Rgds Mutua/IOC
