A high of 7.20 today and a huge supply @7.10. Very little room to move up with that sell order. 6 days to go before results announcements.

Rosy results and it gets sold. Remember that...

Yesterday Vodafone stock was on fire in London session and rallied 6% as rumours of a merger did rounds.

Those rumours have now been quashed - http://www.bloomberg.com...-mulling-joint-bid.html

One hard landing for that Voda stock today in London session.

Yet again Verizon & Vodafone rumour news this time a Verizon Wireless buy out.

Are these M&A's escalating?

Not so much, but a lot of merger talk this year.

Any thoughts on this trend?

As it gets expensive to run telcos and profits diminish, M&A will happen just like in any industry going through the same phase.

Playing out in UG as Airtel buys Warid - http://www.monitor.co.ug...8/-/5vk1ns/-/index.html

That move brings Airtel head to head with MTN on subscriber base. Now waiting for MTN's move. Will definitely be action packed UG's telco industry going forward. Wondering how Airtel will merge the mobile money part from Warid. Btw just like KE mobile money users in UG have surpassed bank accounts as usage tripled last year.

At the moment I'm still crafting the perfect headline: -

Simcard meet money or
Simcard mint money d'oh!

Local investors cash in on Safaricom price rally - http://www.businessdaily...2/-/v2q6ws/-/index.html

If so, then we have more upleg to go! Wanjikus need to be trapped for a proper top to be set. That's how the market works since big money is not with wanjiku. It'll be interesting to see what happens when 7.50 and 7.90 break as the last resistance thresholds. If say EPS comes in at 44cts and the current P/E is maintained, price could easily break down 8 and race to 9! Setting new all time highs in the process.

Still not clear what foreigners are chasing here as well as EABL since that Ethiopia special agreement deal. This money has been hard to follow; too much fog on the road.

Just noticed that the SMA 5 day has been guarding the price trend since Aug 2012. Quite a bullish momentum this one has been for momentum trading.

SMA 5 day currently lies at 6.70.

Bids at 7.30 are not going through.
