Thought its only fair to come back to this thread and commend leading columnist Macharia Gaitho.

He is the only person who saw through the hypocrisy of the wholesale condemnation of the school kids from Nyeri. What they did was wrong but it pales in comparison to what the perverts-in-uniform did. I cannot believe that police oficers ordered the girls to strip, took photos of their private parts and shared on social media. But the rest of the kenyan media didn't see any problem with that and were congratulating the police for a job well done.

I only wish the parents of those kids can get a good lawyer. Justice Mumbi Ngugi made a landmark ruling a while back on a similar matter and ordered the state to compensate the victim of police stupidity and perversion.

This one involves a minor whose nudity was circulated widely by police officers. I wish i was @maka. I would take this case on probono basis.
