The company has now changed its name to Taipan Resources and is keen to capitalise on its early-mover position in Kenya.

With all the acreage currently licensed the only way Big Oil can enter this play is through deal-making with existing players; Taipan’s 100 per cent owned Block 2B could prove a tempting entry point.
