@MaichBalck ...... But me thinks the airport management will definitely close the airport for renovation at least for a week or two. A380 si mchezo on such a "small" airport like wilson.

In the flip though, the pilot may never want to land there gain because in the processes of 'emergency' landing, part of landing gear could have been spoilt especially if on the DDAY there wasn't adequate rainfall!!!

Man .. how is wish to be a pilot in my next life ..

Heard this story of someone who landed a Cessna at Schipol. He had to disembark, walk all the way to the control tower and alert the guys there he had landed!

He was promptly advised to procure a bigger jet or move over to an 'airstrip' his size.

Walk all the way to the tower; the tower controllers were already fast asleep and were not aware a landing had been made.

The pilot could tried landing from the sides of airport and not landing directly.The screeching noise would have woken up the controllers, who knows???

@willing..That can be very true, i can imagine control tower must have been baffled wondering why the cessna is taking too long, maybe the must have thought since it was getting dark, the pilots needed 'lights' to see!

The A380 can land on any airport, the issue will be the runway might be too short, so i recommend a touch and go, that might work!!

The greatest danger in times of turbulence is not the turbulence; it is to act with yesterday's logic.

When a pilot wants to make an emergency landing does he wait for a carpet (how do we call it) or he needs to fly with one all the times.

@impunity

What if the negotiating skills and good command in English aint helping what move should a pilot take from there?

@atiriri,
CRASH LANDING will be the only option!
Land by force.
But if the grass is taller on either side of the runway as in the case of older airports you may just end up severing the tip of the pine-tree with lots of cuts.
Take care.
