I have also a little holding in Sasini which I bought for my daughter. I have recorded it separatelty since I intend to put the proceeds in her account.

Woi!!! The boy child is an endangered species! I have never heard a single Wazuarian buying shares for his/her son! Boy child, kwisha!!!

@Wondergirl - Congrats. That's the way to go. Your daughter should be proud of you.

@ MaichBlack, thanks Brotha, I try. The only reason I have not invested for my son is its because he's not yet born!! The day I get a son I will invest for him in the stocks, he will get his share of insurance and anything else big sis has!

@ sparkly. Oh thanx 4 the Eabl report. But technically centum is a buy even now . I hav a price target of ksh 25.00 by 16 of july. So when i say buy i hav done my homework. @ youcnt. HASS consulting just issued a report that the housing market IN KENYA was the most resilient in the just passd recession. Now why cannt @ waithaka protect his investments in real estate IN KENYA.

Depends on where the market is at

Agreed. I kept off the market during the 2006-2008 bull run.

Then last year when the market was at rock bottom, I put all my savings in stocks, and have no regrets. I even borrowed some money from my co-operative to invest in stocks.

Lump-sum once annually, spread between 2-3 stocks. I prefer that way so as to keep me seated and focussing on other issues as I give my shares rooms to move around, but the key challenge is entry, picking the right stocks, people interested in the stock market need to at least learn the basics of analysing share prices, be it technical or fundamentals, it's not hard.
In every game and con there is always a victim and there is always an opponent. It’s good to know when you are the former so you can become the latter.
