Not to forget that Brazil won the Confederation Cup last year in SA same season as the upcoming World Cup with remarkable ease.

BBI will solve it

@smano very thorough analysis. plus i like the conclusion of brazilians (my favorites) as the winners! In fact going through these posts one easily sees the Brazilians are the outright favourites in wazua. But underdogs and top dogs sometimes cause upsets....

@ ric dees - I like the sound of that model but such models seem to work where there is consistency in behaviour or some constant variables but when you throw in the south americans (read brazilians) and maybe the african teams all with their quirkiness/ peculiarities then the model collapses! so yes, surprises and upsets are likely. it is the first time the game will be played in africa, is that motivating enough for african games?

should wazua have a countdown somewhere on the screen to june 11?

2012....Brazil had to come from 2 goals down to defeat USA in the final....that to me is not winning with "remarkable ease".

Brazil & Spain will be upset.

Underdogs Nigeria (Ogas) will be the suprise team of the tournament.

I meant the tournament not the match plus you could tell even as the match was on progress that US were not gonna win it. They sailed to the final by luck not talent.

@Taz, you are not alone at wondering what Dunga is up to. If you watched Brazil's friendly game with Ireland sometime ago, you'd have realized that the current squad is playing a very different game from what you know Brazil to play. Infact, they are playing that lousy football associated with England & Germany; that of long crosses for a connecting header. Probably that's why the likes of Ronaldinho can't fit here.
