I wonder how reliable their system really is, it being a shared service and all. For instance the 1Mbps package, on a shared network...My fear is signing up for such a service and receiving them super slow speeds similar to a cyber cafe.

Can anyone vouch for zuku? would like to know how the service is like esp. after the new packages zuku just launched. how well is their network performing? They say that the higher the bandwidth you sign up for the better (or, less clogged) the service as majority use the 256 and 512kbps plans.

I really need to know how well the zuku network works as i am considering switching to this service.

I have used Zuku for the past 1 year. I was on 512kbps and have moved to 1 MBPS for the last 3 months.

The first thing I do daily is to do a speedtest.net run. I have registered 700kbps to 1 MBPS on a regular basis. Recently everyday I have been registering 1MBPS.

I am now waitig for their triple play cable to reach my residence. Am informed of speeds upto 10MBPS on the cable.

WOW!!! Thanks for the info...you register *1mbps on the zuku *shared* network?!!!! Applause this is quite interesting...perhaps you are the only subscriber in your area!

If the speeds you speak of are actually true, we should all make the move! please tell me more about their triple play cable...

I dont think I am the only subsciber for Zuku in Parklands. The Zuku people tell me that the fibre to home will be available between March to June next year but cannot give the exact time frame.

How do you find the tangerine service? is it any good? BTW...i thought tangerine offer dedicated speeds...unless i am mistaken. i want to try out access kenya...should be visiting them in like 1 hour (anyone out there who has ever used them...and would like to share their experience--good and bad. Could help me change my mind smile

The countdown begins now...(tick, tick...) hehe!

HELP!

Hey blackthought hope this isn't late i use Access@Home 512kpbs.
I totally get what i pay for. Here is a screen shot of the speed test run from speedtest.net taken today at 11a.m

As you can see from the test i get 0.51Mb/s for Download and 0.10Mb/s for upload.

For those that don't know Communication Solutions Ltd. is Access Kenya.

Hope this is helpful.Laughing out loudly

Check Out the Screen Shot
