Gal 5:2 Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. Gal 5:3 For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law. Gal 5:4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

@lonest, your "God of Christians" (God forbids) Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) was circumcised on the 8th day (Luke 2:21).

The same "God of Christians" (God forbids), Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) stated very, very clearly in Matthew 5:17-20 that: "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished."

So has heaven and the earth disappeared? Of course, not! So why have the Christians disobeyed the law of God? You're following the Christian slayer Saul aka Paul.

On Mtt 5, we have discussed before. Jesus Christ is the fulfilment of the law and the prophets. We no longer do things like sacrifice to appease God or to show thanksgiving.

He takes you away from just bragging about how you keep the law and actually enhances it. You say you have never commited adultery? Have you looked at a woman lustfully? Then you have committed adultery! Similarly you are a murderer not because you killed but even if you are angry with your brother you are guilty of murder!

Here comes Jesus, making the law even seem harder. If you are guilty of adultery, you are liable to death by stoning, right?

But, in referring to the mode of worship where the temple was revered and was the appointed place of worship, he tells the Samaritan woman:
‘Woman, believe me, the hour is coming when neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father. . . . But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth.’

Then about food, clean and unclean he points out:(Mark 7)
“Don’t you see that nothing that enters a person from the outside can defile them? 19 For it doesn’t go into their heart but into their stomach, and then out of the body.”

What comes out of a person is what defiles them. 21 For it is from within, out of a person’s heart, that evil thoughts come—sexual immorality, theft, murder, 22 adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. 23 All these evils come from inside and defile a person.”

Do you see an interest in the heart of man? Not outward deeds only but the heart of man. Because the heart of the problem is always a problem of the heart! The Law could not legislate against issues in a man's heart. And God is always interested in the heart. Not outward appearances and deeds

About the Sabbath: The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. So the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath.” (Matt 12:8)

Christians should not be burdened with what Jesus already fulfilled. Whoever wants to keep the law should keep the whole of it; even sacrificing animals to God!

So has heaven and the earth disappeared? Of course, not yet! So in short the Christians disobeyed the law of God as per Jesus' words in Matthew 5:17-20 "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets.."

It is Paul who came and said "I'm not preaching the Gospel of my lord Jesus. But I'm preaching my own gospel, the gospel for the Gentiles". Paul came and said his Gospel is for the "uncircumcised"

Paul said in Hebrews 7:18-19, 8:13 that the law was obsolete and weak!!!!!

Contrary to what Jesus himself said!!!
Contrary to what the law itself says in Psalm 19:7 which says that the Law is perfect.
Contrary to what God commanded Abraham and all generations "shall be circumcised... an everlasting covenant." Genesis 17:13

Christians contradict themselves so much!

Doti, By the way on the cut and the law;

1. Will you circumcise your son on the 8th day?
2. Do you believe Jesus was cut on the 8th day, why?
3. Do you believe the Law of Moses was from God?
4.Where do you refer to to get the requirements of the Law of Moses?
5.Do you keep other requirements of the Law of Moses?
6.Have you ever stumbled on any point in the Law?

I always take these debates to "other religious discourse" but my friend here likes to discuss within a non-related topic.

Jesus did not abolish or change the law of Moses according to Matt 5:17

And fulfilling does not mean changing.

Unlike Christians, Muslims follow the Quran 100%. Christians, they don't really believe that the Bible is the word of God. Everything is there for adornment for beautification. Even going to church is show, they will live their own life anyway!

Things that Jesus (pbuh) said, or God said, no Christian is prepared to pay attention or follow or do that.

So in short the Christians disobeyed the law of God.

Jesus is the fulfillment of the law. Do you get that? Or as usual have you chosen to misunderstand?

Jesus did not abolish or change the law of Moses according to Matt 5:17

And fulfilling does not mean changing.

He actually enhanced it

Does "enhancing" means change the law or abolish it? What does "fulfilling" means?

That he IS THE FULFILLMENT. He is all you need and the law is hence kept in full by being in Him.

Jesus this Muhammad that; some people need to get a life. Not everything revolves around religion

but am afraid to some people religion is life

Religion is a way of life. Even your way of life is your religion.

This emanated from our agnostic saying the origin of circumcision all over the world is religion-Abrahamic faiths

Doti, By the way on the cut and the law;

You better first start believing in the Bible, otherwise declare your stand that you detest it and that you follow your own guts!

Otherwise, stop asking me whether I'm following your book. Those questions should be answered by you, the Christian, fake follower of Bible.

don't quote for us what you don't believe in, then

Only quote for us Muhammad's hallucinations/inventions

I see how you evaded the legalism debate!!

I am the Way, the Truth and The Life. No one comes to the father except by Me.

That is the way! Not the Law with its rules on circumcision na gadhaligha

By the way, he told us to go into all nations making them his disciples and baptising them

He did not tell us to circumcise on the 8th day as was the rule given to Abraham

By the way, on your piety as a religion, you told us that you observe(or believe in) what 'Prophets' such as Jesus, Moses, Abraham, David etc prophesied/relayed

Now answer the questions above on the Law...sorry, don't answer them. They point to the inconsistency of Islam!!
