Humans and chimps share a surprising 98.8 percent of their DNA. How can we be so similar--and yet so different?

This imply other forms of intelligence must have visited earth many times, just the way we visit forests/wild and concluded that there is no meaningful interaction they can have with us. Earth is definitely some zoo/quarantine! considering the challenges we face to escape it.
