Infrastructure set up costs my friend. Its easier to work with a going concern.

Just wondering does GOK have pre-emptive rights?

What is this special thing they are bringing that will shake the market out of SAFCOM?

Is it Number Portability? That one died in 2011!
Is it money transfer cost? Some dying players tried it FREE OF CHARGE and didn't do anything.
It it free SMS and Calls? That is a tried and DEAD strategy.

The battle should be in MOBILE DATA. UNLIMITED COST SUSTAINABLE DATA! IS ANYONE LISTENING!!!!!?

I agree. Any new entrant should be thinking of Data. One advantage of data over call/sms/money transfer is that one does not need to change numbers to enjoy the service.

For example, my official line is Safcom coz of calls and Mpesa. However, when it comes to data (internet) I use Orange (un)limited monthly or Airtel (un)limited monthly.

I hope the new entrant will charge 2,500/= or even 2,000/= or even 1,500/= for unlimited or un)limited data per month.....something hard for Safcom to match.

And the drama continues as Orang KE CEO comes out again to deny the sale.

I thought Yu's sale was being handled badly, but this one has taken the amateur top spot.
