Who here can defend Kidero and quote any progress?

Even one thing he has done apart from conferences, speeches and blah blah?

(oh slapping that Shebesh is progress but not good enough for Nairobians)

Guess the guy wouldn't have done much given there was a petition against him. My observation is that governors who had petitions against them opted to await the court rulings before doing anything in their counties. This is not to excuse him though, now that the court ruling was in his favour lets see what he will do for this city while taking advantage of the good relations he has with PORK.

Documents in our possession show that one procurement officer through official order number 003966, dated February 20, authorised inflated payment to a supplier. The official order went through the Director of Procurement and City Treasurer offices before the supplier was paid Sh3.4 million. The trader was paid
for supplying 500 pieces of 100 watts HPS lamps. Our investigations established that each lamp was initially supposed to cost Sh1500 but the County Government paid
Sh6,800 for each lamp. This means the supplier pocketed Sh2.65 million above what government would have paid had
the Procurement and Treasury Departments stuck to the initial
cost.

Last week's unannounced visit by President Uhuru Kenyatta to Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero's office has heightened speculation that the two are considering long-term political co-operation.

The visit has provoked meetings by the ODM and Cord top brass who are trying to decipher what political implications if any, this new found friendship between the two portends for the opposition.

Kidero, who was elected on an ODM ticket, has already come under suspicion from some top ODM leaders who view his close working relation with Uhuru as an attempt to sideline Cord leader Raila Odinga
