In the Kenyan system, a "D" is a very poor result. In other countries, each grade has a school to which they can be channeled to develop un-eplored skills. Here, if you fail, you fail!!! The solution would therefore be to identify something he is keen to do, and guide him in that direction...si hata Richard Branson gave up school...

Hello Wazuan's

I need help!
There is a family member who got a D in KCSE and I have been tasked with the job of getting him to a level of where he will either be employable or self sufficient.

I am looking for ideas and opinions because apart from watching TV I don't think there is any other thing of interest this guy has.

So you scored a D but at least you beat @qooler.

D? thats a pass. I got a D- and am still here smile

ATI NINI?

May be true, since academic failure doesn't mean failure in life. Neither does academic success guarantee a succesful life.

I don't think you know the boy.

If you know him, then you don't care about him beyond 'pleasing' some people.

I fear you are killing him softly.

40% of 40,000/= upfront, 35% of 160,000/= after completing the job.

You can't do the job. Confess this and find your 'peace'.

If there is a building being built near where you live or a construction project going on then that is the ideal place for him.

His career is in the changarawe, kokoto, mawe za 9 na simiti industry.

Or buy him a mkokoteni. He goes to Ukulima Market very early in the morning kutegea job za kubeba waru na mboga.
