Please consider using HDPE pipes - the ones sold in rolls of like 100m. Visit Doshi on Mombasa road.
They are flexible and need very little plumbing. They have a longer useful life - especially if exposed to the sun, they don't break easily. Found them to be at comparable cost to the normal PVC pipes. Make sure you get a plumber who has used them before. @Mkimwa Thanks for the information, I am Interested in the same. Do you know of a place I can see HDPE pipes in use? Phaoro at ymail dot com Cheers

Subscribed! I am just about to start a farming venture and any and all information is valuable! I will start a new thread giving my experiences, and share what I learn. Farming should not be top secret...Kenya needs to feed itself! Business opportunities are like buses, there's always another one coming

Farming should not be top secret...Kenya needs to feed itself! True. It should be public knowledge if we have to feed ourselves.

I am also very interested in farming. Thanks guys. this post has been so informative.
I have land at my disposal in the rich and fertile area of Mt. Elgon. The climate is great, the soil is volcanic and rich and the lands are green. However, we have one big problem. Water supply is quite limited. Therefore it is very difficult fro me to partake in the planting of crops that require a lot of water.
Therefore, I am thinking of doing doing animal farming. i love animals very very much. Nevertheless, i have no idea what to do or which animals offer the best returns.
Any help?????
