Starts 1st May 2012 NHIF advert on Daily Nation, 20th April: "ALL EMPLOYERS, CONTRIBUTORS and ORGANISED GOUPS should remit the enhanced contribution rates from 1st May 2012."

Again the NHIF is an expense and not a saving meaning it has to be taxed. I'm not an accountant though. The opposite of courage is not cowardice, it's conformity.

The difference in the two is that for personal policies there is sum assured in case of death and the purpose of relief is to encourage people to have policies. For nhif the gov is looking for cash through the back door! The opposite of courage is not cowardice, it's conformity.

If it does then it should be amended because this to me is theft. I'd rather contribute more to NSSF and not NHIF. NHIF need to explain to us what new benefits we're getting and if they're 6 times better as well. BBI will solve it :)
