With the amount of data traffic they carry the investment is worthwhile.
Not necessary.
Safaricom has plenty of unused 'space' on TEAMS as well as SEACOM. There is no point in investing in undersea cables unless they want to lose their focus on Kenyan customers and start negotiating landing and access rights in Fujairah and London. Then add the interconnections with other cable providers.
Safaricom needs to ensure my calls are clear and stop dropping. It's annoying to have poor call quality. Safaricom needs more regional partnerships which Kenyans need as we go 'regional' vs the current crazy roaming rates.
Safaricom needs to encourage local hosting while simultaneously improve local connectivity. My phone was showing 4G last week but with real speeds close to EDGE. Very annoying. Get all base stations in urban areas upgraded to 4G first as the number of phones capable of 4G connections increase on a daily basis.
