@EGO. I see no case here.

1. The girl is very young and she may have misinterpreted the doctor's motive. Some 18 year olds would not know that there is 'legal' touching of breast. When she was asked to lower the pant for injection....

2. Is the doctor on record for having harassed a female patient before? any pattern? Any motive? Remember 'actus non facit reum nisi mens sit rea' (

3.Is there any chance that being a close relative of your wife, you people are getting too emotionally bent towards the girl's side?

Make no mistake if there was harassment it need to be punished. But i consider your case flimsy as the doctor seem to have done what a doctor should do to a lady with chest pains.

If you go ahead with the case, send me the doctor's number. I would like to defend him in court.

On a lighter note: how much do you pay the house girl?smile

... I think it is wrong, why would anyone think a little house girl would lie? To me this was inappropriate, someone need to report this doctor! Maybe the house girl was shy to say that there was penetration. He could be HIV positive and could infect other people!

Is he a "REAL" doctor or just a clinical officer or even a nurse?

If the househelp is above 18 and was examined by a "REAL" doctor, then she voluntarily gave consent for the medical examination, probably after information about the particular examination had been given to her (Informed consent).

If she is below 18 years of age, it was wrong for the "doctor" to examine her without consent from her parents or a guardian. In this case the guardian been @Endo.

In all matters of examination of a female patient by a male doctor, a chaperone (female relative, female guardian, female nurse, etc) should be requested to attend the examination. This reduces medico-legal cases of sexual assault or sexual harassment.

The "doctor" failed to follow the instructions above while examining a female patient. He is therefore at fault and should, if need be, defend himself and satisfy a sitting of his peers (the medical board) that the alleged sexual harassment did not occur.

@Engo, what was the final diagnosis? Is she feeling better now? Is she back at work?

@Engo,this was plain MOLESTATION.If anybody goes to the hospital with chest pain,The Dr. just does EKG/ECG which is not invasive, If he doesn't have an EKG machine, He'll give him/her a nitroglycerin pill/spray then sends her to a major hospital coz she might be having a Heart Attack. If he has to examine everywhere, then he will give u a hospital gown, tells u to change into the gown n steps out while you're changing your clothes. Chest pain and Breast cancer are totally different and beside you don't touch the nipples to check Breast cancer. SHAME THE DEVIL. These are the people who give Doctors/Men a bad name.

The girl is not little. Furthermore, don't be fooled, the little girls can be dangerous. Ask the men who have had to teach 13 year-old girls. You can find yourself in some very hot soup without knowing. Don't always believe what they say.

I think we have become a leftist society. I remeber we used to have a science teacher in primo who when he wanted to punish you, he would make you lie on his laps and he would then spank you. Of there were times when it would be painful, but most of the times we preffered this to the birch. I know there were kids who felt "tickled" by this. If this were to happen to some children today, this teacher would be called a pervert and a pedophile.

Back to the topic, i think that it is always better if a female patient is treated by a female doctor, and viceversa. I used to have a friend who when she was pregnant, prefered to go to a male gynecologist because she said that they (male doctors) are very "kind." It used to piss me off. Why do men even study gynecology?

Again, i also think we can easily become trapped into the evil feminist agenda without knowing. Do you think it would have been such a big deal if the doctor were female and the patient male?

Why is it better? Gender is irrelevant! So a girl with appendicitis and who requires an appendectomy should search (in vain) for a female surgeon?! Kindly use other criteria to choose a doctor like recommendations from friends and family. Proper communication, pleasant personality and bedside manner matter more.

Majority of gynaecologists are men. The male gynaecologists also earn more than the female gynaecologists. That trend will continue for a while longer.

@ engoho the gal was at liberty to sei no if she didn't want to be treated. The other dei in Nairobi hospital i removed everythin for the doc upon his request he even used the finger to check, i cannot afterwards claim the doc molested me since i did it willingly & with an intention to be treated, if all my sisters can tell u inluding your wife its not even in one occasion that they have stripped to the doctors. I doubt which doc can molest someone in his own clinic moreso during the dei

We assume @ Engo has a house girl over 18 years.
If otherwise,We will accuse him for child labour. What should he be doing with a below 18 employee who should be in class.
