Just a different perspective, is KU today better than it was a decade ago under Eshiwani and the short tenure of Standa? The three Profs are obviously human beings and thrived in different fields
1. Eshiwani was content focused (quality) but never generated enough money to expand the institution; under him KU became experts in 2 fields, Teacher graduates and musical cultural fairs (the latter for obvious reasons - M01 factor?)
2. Standa was a great employer and emphathized with his employees esspecially the non teaching staff union, he did nothing to advance content or to expand programs BUT the staff loved him!
3. Mugenda took the reigns and boom! there was construction everywhere. Library expansion, new lecture theatres, new campuses (Ruiru, parklands, pwani etc etc), new programs et al.
Demand for quality education has grown over the decade, I reckon it's time to input some quality into the insitution by leveraging on the strengh of the 3 profs. Is there a vetting board for uni vice chancellors?
Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story.
