@qW; are u sure it will reach 6/=? I used to think so but not anymore. Even if Kebati! replaces Kidero as the C.E.O. Where are you reading these charts with support at that level?

When did kidero leave Mumias as CEO?

Or would someone like to bet [for some sukari] if kidero or kenbati is CEO?

Not that I expect to collect the winnings coz reasons will be cited e.g.

- CEO/CFO what's the difference? 1 letter only
- E comes before F by only 1 place in the alphabet. That is NOT conclusive unless it is 25 places ahead.
- Kebati & Kidero both have K, E, I in the names which means they are the SAME person.
- Kebati & Kidero have 6 letters in their names. Proof they are one & the same!

I believe better days are ahead for Mumias .Technically what i am sayin is that it might reach 6.00 since it broke its support that was at 9.00 level. Yet again the c.e.o was qouted by reuters sayin that 2H ( which is due end year ) will be better since they crushed mo' sugar.I also find it real hard for this stock to head to 6.00 but yet again the market can stay irrational for a long time and i will use that to my advantage.
Bytheway w/ the positive words from my c.e.o i expect the said good performance to start being factored in maybe a month or so before the actual announcement.thus who really want to sell at 6.00 ????
but shld it break to 6.00 i will gladly add more and keep for several years..
so really if you talk trash about this stock is plainly out of ignorance !!!!!!!!

here's the link of the interview with the c.e.o , Mumias.

@ qw its the CFO. Thanks for the information, insights and opinions. keep those coming. at least we get to see many sides of every coin.
@ VVS: he might also tell you that Kebati is the CEO of Financial affairs in MSC.smile

the day Mumias will start processing sugar at TARDA that will be the turnaround of the company and it will become a major player in the African and international sugar market

Will the sugarcane being grown at the Coast mature within the same time as the Comesa ones?

@ y .Yes the sugarcane grown at the coast grows faster than the comesa variety (in about 4-5 months) and thats y the co. is sinkin in > 24 billion to get the project out of the ground.
and those who were actually pushing this stock upto 3.00 ( comparin it to makin batteries is just absurd).Me i say Mumias is a buy for the long term...but a good entry price is becoming elusive.its best to wait and see.

The mumias website says: ''The irrigated cane is normally early maturing variety of 10 – 12 months of age.'' www.mumias-sugar.com/ind...php?page=Future-Products Some places like Hawaii, the crop is grown for 24 months

TARDA is expected to be a combination of:

- Better/faster maturing cane varieties
- Irrigation [thus better yields]
- Better 'design' of the farms & transport systems to the factories [Cheaper costs + Higher sucrose levels of 'faster' deliveries]
- Better/higher use of fertilizers [Higher Yields]

@VVS,

More important is the economy of scale Mumias will have at Tarda as opposed to the fragmented smallholding they currently have in western Kenya.

@ the deal . the ceo of mumias, kebati is expecting the sugar project at coast to begin next year and also expects the rebound in 2H to be good.Secondly ethanol plant will start operations to begin in 2012.It is envisaged ethanol will contribute 1.5 billion shillings per year in revenues .24 billion-shilling
sugar project at the Kenyan coast, which it hopes can get underway
next year.We all know the advantages of growing sugar cane at coast.Thirdly more cane crushed coz in the current half-year they are going to have a full six
months of operation since it has been relatively dry since December and they are able to crush more cane .To put the final nail on this coffin all this is coming from the C.E.O .This is just good.

so if you want to sell go ahead. technically it will go down but for those w/ a long-term view ( ME included)its a bliss if it hits its 6.00 support . i am camped there actually.

Isnt Kibati the CFO and Kidero CEO?
