Forget 'price' what's the value? PER? Future profits? PEG? Management? Greedy when others are fearful. Very fearful when others are greedy - to paraphrase Warren Buffett

Where are the dividends as we wait for listing? The opposite of courage is not cowardice, it's conformity.

@bird_man - sucks totally!!! 3.50/= is way too low. I remember I once sold a good chunk at 115 in OTC, now equivalent to 5.75/=
Maybe it shouldnt have listed:):) This is a buyers market now..

PER? Future profits? PEG? Management? I find it expensive EPS = 0.268 (584,214,000/2,179,655,000) PER = 13.06 (3.5/0.268) NAV per share = KES 1.97 (4,294,142,000/2,179,655,000) Check the annual reports here http://cic.co.ke/group/financials

Jerry - Definitely (if I had money). Anyway the full story is not on the numbers above. Recall they had a rights issue + Offer last year with shared issued aloocated in Feb 2011 and certs available to members from April and AGM in May allowed for the allocation of the additional shares.
Initial Number of shares before the issue = 30,000,000 @ 20sh per share = Share Capital of 600,000,000/=
They essentially traned through most of 2011 with a share capital of 600,000,000/= and those results should reflect as much.

with the additional capital of (2,179,655,000 - 600,000,000 = 1.579b ) They should do Way better in 2012. Picture this... at current interest rates, just supposing they depsoited the capital in a bank account @15% interest = 237m .
They are very well positioned for growth and can deliver it considering how well they have been growing 40%+ over last few years and NO exposure to the bleeding stock market that impacts Britak et al.
