And those of us who do not wish to quit based/depending on the offer price can buy more from the market within the window period before the takeover..

The stock will be trading just below the offer price when suspension is lifted!

It might not be good value to buy at those prices..

so you think the somens are stupid buying their own companies shares ???
and by the way if you are man enough you should stop whining about kk and get choosing another investment that good as kk . otherwise seems you just follow the herd as you want to follow what others are doing . so man UP !

What sense will it make for the suspension to be lifted when the takeover price is lifted?
If u hold the share it would make more sense to wait for the take over.
If u dont own the share, who will be stupid enough to sell to you at a lower price than the take over price?
And which buyer will be stupid enough to buy higher than the takeover price?
If this takeover goes through, i dont see KK trading ever again in the NSE.
It would have made more sense for the share to continue trading before the takeover price is announced, that way buyers and sellers can speculate(which is what CMA sought to stop).
After takeover price is announced the trading of the share makes no sense

Some investors may want to own the privately owned puma subsidiary.. Also some shareholders may not want to wait until the take over is complete..

There you have it! willing buyer willing seller!!

I never said or thought anyone was stupid as you imply and man is not determined by how abusive they can be in their language, so i will not engage you in that line and am not whining...

I have a lot more invested in other 18 counters, three of which am in the top 15 and it doesnt make me man enough.. as you imply.

Am man enough because of creation not what I own. I started this game way back in early 90s which herd was I following then? now i want to add more shares and remain with puma which herd am i following?

opens up room for those that may want to take strategic positions by offering a higher price at the market

Jamani, I am sure most people (mimi wa kwanza!) wouldn't mind selling you their stakes at a premium on PUMA's bid.

''Bei ya kuongea. Customer kusema ukweli hatuwezi kosania bei''

What is the process of transferring shares directly to someone else. Must the shares be immobilised? How long would that take? Anyone who has gone through such a process please share.

@ youcan'tstopusnow, I think if they allow trade for some time as stated by madam Guru, it will follow the normal process. However if you remain and later want to sell preemptive rights rule will apply... thanks for the offer hatuwezi kosana hata kidogo niko tayari for it.

being a shareholder of a private company as a minority has its challenges and risks thats why. purely personal opinion.

to answer above if takeover dont go through: suspension lifted then status quo as before.

The ultimate decision is yours

Are takeover offers good for shareholders? The answer is sometimes yes and sometime no. Remember, you might have bought the shares with the intention of holding them for the long term, hoping to benefit from the long-term growth in the value of the business.

Accepting a takeover offer now means that you will sacrifice long-term gain for an immediate payment. This may be good if you can find a better home for your money but will be bad if you cannot find as good an investment to replace this one.
