this is good. but I don't see why it'll cause a price drop. unless Mr market loses his head or unless ennsvalleys sells its shares. I appreciate the cause of the dilution. it tempting to buy this share, but requires patience after that!!!

one day this company will be taken over just like rea vipingo, I have been having that feeling

They said the same thing last year. The plot remains unsold. Plus don't get too excited since the plot has a land use restriction which diminishes its value as a commercial plot unless Unga [or the buyer] can get a "change of use" approval.

Millers raise prices as competition for maize intensifies

•The government is buying a 90kg bag at Sh3,000 for the strategic grain reserve (SGR) as it seeks to boost stocks ahead of an anticipated shortage from the ongoing harvest

•Millers have been paying farmers between Sh2,000 and Sh2,500 while traders have been offering as low as Sh1,800 for the 90 kilogramme bag

Bad news for millers since they might not have the clout to raise prices at retail.

They are serious this time around to improve their cash flow.

Note:- I am not buying into this mid cap counter but it has
potentials for capital gains for speculative purposes.

The Year End is 30 June so there's still 4-6 months before the results for 2013-14 are available. There are a lot of brands in the stores vs 10 years ago. Is Unga as dominant as it used to be?

I like it as a firm and I am still in. The overall sector will grow but Unga's place in it worries me a lot. It needs different thinking which leverages its assets rather than a complete new direction which costs (Rights) money! If the Ndegwas are ready to let someone else control the firm then a strong strategic partner can come in...
