Aren't we at the peak yet?

I have just bailed out of some counters. I am following the chart Gurus to tame my greed.

Somebody share the foreigners vs locals spread, we see

Last week, KES under pressure as importers demand for USD increases amid reduced inflows

Central Bank to the rescue! Sells USDs to ease forementioned pressure.

Today, huge rally at the NSE

Coincidence? My gut says nah!

Am not an elder but I am sure these are some of the things that have greatly contributed to the rally;

1.The increased liquidity in the market (look at the number of rights and corporate bonds lined up).

2. Reduced interest rates for bank deposits

3. Chain reaction- since the financials are doing good, everybody now wants to get in and share in the harvest (panic buying)

4. Increased local participation esp after the successful NSE IPO

5. Brokers are really hyping the counters that we see rallying.. centum, equity, britam, cic et al
Seeing is believing

I have been asking the same question here in wazua....and no answer as yet.So to keep myself sane, i have exited the market today with my profit.

If it goes up...well and good for those still there...if correction happens...i will be waiting at the bottom to make my picks.

Speculators are very clever in inventing reasons for a rise in the price of shares on occasions when there is a declining tendency, or for a fall in the midst of a boom.

Take every gain without showing remorse about missed profits, because an eel may escape sooner than you think. It is wise to enjoy that which is possible without hoping for the continuance of a favorable conjuncture and the persistence of good luck.

Crazy price differences for hyped up counters
Centum High of 84.50 - low 70.50 = 14
Equity High 63.00 - low 55.00 = 8
Britam High 40.00 - low 33.00 = 7
CIC High 12.40 - low 10.40 = 2

I expected CIC to take a bigger hit.

Hisah..does this thing really follow TA ?Does RSI et all applies here ? Since its been trading on 100 shares on an explicit price manipulation.no buyers have been drawn to it soo far

So you are saying CMA should wait for the crowd to get pulled in to start investigating the obvious manipulation?
