Ref to Pg 68 of the IM - the Pro Forma Statement of Comprehensive Income for the Year Ending June 30 2011. The PBT is projected at 6.061 B, EPS at 2.54 and DPS at 0.36.

As I have stated elsewhere, I am assuming that this figure was just copy pasted from the 2010 figures. I am therefore inferring that the intention was to maintain the DPS at the 2010 level i.e. at 1/=. All the same I can live with the lower dividend of Kshs 0.36, if it will result in accelerated earnings growth.

@mwanahisa I think you might have to check out your info again and tell me where t find the corect stuff...

Pg 68 only shows me director mambo jumbo but Pg 78 shows this year's performance... Please tell me where I cna locate the info you fond on 2011 projected earnings?????

Sorry g267, I forgot to mention that I was referring to the soft copy of the IM (downloaded from the KPLC website). P68 (of 79) on this version is titled APPENDIX II - PROFORMA FINANCIAL STATEMENTS FOR THE YEAR ENDING 30 JUNE 2011, with the first item being the statement of Comprehensive Income.

@mwanahisa this is simply complying with accounting principles... Its impossible to forecast a higher dividends than that paid out the previous one paid out.... This is because of the uncertainties that may affect the cash flows and the income statement during the year...

But they are still expected to pay 1 bob div...

And why start the thread if you know they project a 6.1 billion P.B.T next year???
