What is with this generation of Job opportunity seekers.

The nature of my job requires that most that visit our institutions are sent to me.

96% of the male interveiwees do not wear a suit and tie. Ladies, the plugging necklines and above the knee hemlines. Please.

Did I miss something? Attending an interview in Jeans and Safaricom T-shirts for an opening in accounts and administration?

Sheng is not yet recognized as an official language, the new constitution not with standing.

for heavens sakes ladies and gentlemen, do not attend an interview if you cannot speak English. Please. Thank you.

How misleading!!!!
1. No, she does not have to hit any mattress. She should never lower her dignity to that level. And in any case, she is well qualified!
2. Why hide her MBA cert, she is well qualified! She will soon meet a serious employer who's been looking for someone just like her!

Let her not give up! There are indeed job opportunities she can fit in. As long as she keeps looking!

sometimes they play reverse psychology...show up for the interview decently and professionally dressed.

a week later, the jeans, tshirts and beach sandals check in....quite frustrating and an eye sore.

tell her not to be choosey, to trust in God n not to despair. tell her to be aggresive n u should give her all the support.

1. Visited a cybercafe and researched on how to write a winning CV
2. Wrote a winning CV and winning cover letter
3. Made as many copies as I could of the 2 documents
4. Trekked thro' Industrial area dropping off applications
5. Realised that most of the companies I was interested in only accepted online applications.
6. Accepted a salary-less job that gave me free access to the internet.
7. Applied for any and all jobs I could find online - had luxury of tweaking CV each time.
8. was called for so many interviews that my employer started complaining
9. Passed most of the interviews, received 15 job offers..
10. Chose 1.
NB: All this within 2 months. No bribes, No godfathers, No mattress. My former classmates who were waiting on their godfathers were still waiting two years after I got my first job.
