Mzee Njungs, it is definitely a Chinese knock-off...but it works fine. In theory, fiddling and tinkling with its innards should make it as good as the real deal.

If you know your way around electronics/hardware, you tweak these chinese knockoffs to perform as well as their original counterparts. All you need is a USB cable, a coupla torrent sites and voila!
