My question is this Bolt on the same planet with other human beings? That was such a profound and awesome performance but weirdly Bolt made it look so easy shaving off mind-numbing 0.11 seconds from his previous 9.69 sec record (the largest chunk ever by far to be sliced from 100m world record)

I now think Bolt will run 9.32s soon. Kudos also to Gay and Asafa Powell for ensuring Bolt ran over the last 20 metres over which he has been strolling during the heats. Leo ni Kapsabet & Eldoret Express on show in the semis - I hear the Southafrican who tripped Eldoret express has the best time this season and is spoiling for a fight with the Kengan girls. This is another interesting race,I cant wait to see how it unfolds.

Bolt breaks the WR with ease! funny thing is that once he realised he had won,he didnt put much effort,so he will later/soon lower the 9.58....and anyway, their is always a bonus (pesa) for every WR broken....

It's a monday morning and I feel like saying I told you so!! Okay, that doesn't exactly make me a genius but I had to say it. You've got to give props to Usain Bolt. Tyson Gay had vowed to run the race in 9.6 seconds. He didn't. But guess what, even if he did,it wouldn't have made any difference! Now,when someone surpasses your dreams, then you are definitely not in the same league!

@ Findel - 'No one has ever lowered the 100 Metres record by more thn 0.05 seconds since the electronic timing was introduced.' Guess what! Now someone has! As they say in investment circles, past performance should not...

Findel & bebeto

Thanks for allowing me a huge ' I TOLD YOU SO' moment on a chilly monday morning. Superman performance!!! by the way between you two were statements like 9.32sec is too ambitious even with madawa and wind and sub 9.6 is vision 2030 stuff meant for next generation of human beings..i stuck my neck out and called a sub 9.65sec record come Sunday and how lucky!

I suspect this chap can do lower 9's or very ambitiously a sub 9 sec record. He is still easing off the gas pedal and his starts are very inconsistent. Jana he took off not so great reason perhaps main reason for his late easing off the gas pedal. He definately knows something about him we don't know, that grin and act pre-race is to funika our macho...tha bugger can run faster......He should break the 200m record this week if all goes well. Poor Tyson Gay,you turn in a monstrous record breaking performance in a race but its not good enough coz Usain just returned a super human performance! must really crush Tyson's ego....now after 2 -3 more records this week and surely at 22...i wonder how much it will cost to bring the chap to a race..coz his presence is equal to max gates even at an inflated price.....I suspect between Aduado,Nike and Puma someone is fashioning a super deal for for his image rights...everyone watching yesterday knows he was wearing puma....now Nike and Aduado are the largest sports gear manufacturers, surely you can't not have Bolt as your brand representative. He is a race or two away from reaching Michael Jordan brand status...you want to catch him before then....otherwise if he does a sub 9.5 sec he will cost a fortune....I surely would have thought Nike and Adidas would have lured the guy away from Puma after his olympics heroics....
