Waiting for a real estate price correction in Kenya is like waiting for beer to go back to 25 bob HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA

Remember, the bulk of real estate is purchased for CASH, yes CASH. Very few mortgages, and developers rarely get bank facilities for longer than 5 years.

So, really, pls keep keep waiting, but dont grow old waiting, have a 150 bob beer while waiting!!
Business opportunities are like buses, there's always another one coming

@bwenyenye...i have always been concerned about the Ministry of Agriculture being headquartered in Nairobi rather than Nakuru which is in better reach for farmers from central, rift valley, western kenya, Nyanza etc. What is this Ministry doing in Nairobi?

The langata barracks is some hundreds of acres of sleeping/drinking/langaing dens for a measly 3000 or so soldiers but could solve inner city housing in one master stroke. Move this guys to Naivasha to keep them close to Keroche. Also trim the size of the Moi air base(while at it rename it) and auction it to a developer.

Been thinking instead of worrying so much about the bubble busting i believe one better be game and get a piece of the cake as long as it lasts. In Nairobi land will always be scarce, every other kid born shags aspires to grow and migrate to Nairobi.A visionary invester should put his money in real estate. It has been tested over the years that one can never go wrong on this one.

Kwani you a soldier for real ama? I was just "generalizing" their tabias.I am quite serious though and would not mind a good repudiation to my suggestions. What is the ministry of agriculture and hundreds of acres of land of barracks doing in the center of the city?

@GG - Well, the reasons folks ran to Sandton is coz Jo'burg CBD is no-go after 6pm. My cabbie was getting nervous & told me he does not pick passengers in CBD after 6pm!

In Nairobi, the move was from CBD to Upper Hill...

Actually if the gava spread out government functions as suggested, we would have less congestion. EG min of agriculture as suggested to Nakuru etc
