now you want to mislead us...

a lexicon is a 1) dictionary.....

2) word book....

3) list or vocabulary pertaining to a particular subject, field or class.....

lexicography has a singular meaning....

see below...

Which is the correct pronounciation of innovative?

Is it In-ow-vative or is it ee-no-vay-tive?

And what about schedule? Shedule or skedule?

after reaching the semis in the Seven's IRB...

can we,in all seriousness say...

'Kenya reached her maiden semi-final...'

or would we be heard saying...

'Kenya reached its maiden semi-final...'

@jammo: it depends...when I was in England (but do I say?),I was surprised to read the phrase 'an hotel' in a local newspaper....thus I think it could be an 'H'....it is pronounced 'ay-ich' and not 'hay-ich'

@ Shaft:

We wouldn't say 'Kenya reached her maiden semi-final...'

Nor would we say

'Kenya reached its maiden semi-final...'

We would say..

'Kenya reached their maiden semi-final...'

Reason is; we are talking about the team

On the other hand,it is true that 'Kenya has very good relations with HER neighbours...except for the Migingo island issue'

@mukiha

I stand to be corrected.

If we are talking of a TEAM,wouldnt we refer to IT but not THEY. Unless we are refering to the BOYS (individual) and not as ONE TEAM?

@sayshap: Kenya is not a thing either to be called 'IT'

English is to refer to countries in the feminine....perhaps because they enclose people in the same way a woman's womb encloses a baby...i don't know why
