The Treasury also expects to earn Sh1 billion from electricity producer, KenGen where it controls a 70 per cent stake, unchanged from the current year.

Dividend income from Kenya Power is forecast at Sh500 million, 66.67 per cent more than Sh300 million this year ending June.

All the gurus here kindly advise I want to buy kemgen price should implode anytime

A dividend from KPLC this year with all the drama? That would be interesting.
Did KPLC declare a dividend last year?

Kplc has both preference and ordinary shares.Last year, ordinary shareholders received nothing but preference shareholders were given dividends.
With this projection,we are not sure whether ordinary shareholders will be included this time.

d'oh! Ignore the pref shares. They have very few pref shares outstanding. Nominal dividends in total paid on pref shares.

KPLC doesn't "have to" declare anything. The decision is made at the Board Level. Of course, there may be some directors whose interests are influenced by other factors.

BUT I digress. This is a KenGen thread.
