Go to the stations and buy the earliest train available plan your journey around the tickets availability, currently buses are a pain, due to demand they are overbooking, late boarding the jam into, out of mombasa is painful and sometimes starts at mariakani, past mariakani you shall experience dust and rough 'korogation'as the road is under construction,
you could drive and make stops in the parks, make the drive part of the holiday, camp at tsavo for only 70bob per head, then pass through Samburu to shimba hills camp there for only 150pp,then drive to Diani, fresh AF.
At the moment do not try jambo or KQ it's messy, 540 and the rest are okay. If you have to take a bus take modern, coast bus, mash or horizon

I am going to bring a car so I cant drive. But I will consider the driving option in future. Looks exciting.

@Euge, Would it not be much more economical and time saving to pay someone to drive the car to Nbi? It would cost you about 5k. Otherwise, if you have to drive back in the treacherous stretch, it's hectic.

@Gathige, I have the time to go down and drive back. I pay myself they 5k. I agree that it will be hectic driving back but let me choose to live with that. Maybe I take some of the 5k and go for a massage (without extras).
Lord, thank you!

You might need a very healthy excuse, to account for your time @ the extras. Why not enjoy the leave of absence at the parlour(s), as you have me bring you the car. Share the wealth

I;m not joking with BTC, just wondering which part in Kenya is this where camping costs 70 bob per head. Is it USD, KES, or BTC?
If Obiero did it, Who Am I?
