No. I haven't watched this movie. But I have watched the requiem of 'my' own dream.

I wonder whether watching the movie you're recommending isn't falling again for a dead dream already. I hope I won't lose sight of dreamlessness.

This whole thread is like weird, like, so much of the information that these people have been like imparting to each other. it's like, really got heavy connotation to it. while reading it sometimes I feel kind of isolated, but most of the time I feel really connected, really, like, engaged in this active process. Which is kind of weird because most of the time I've just been really passive and not really responding, except for now. I think it's not necessarily passive to not respond verbally. we are like really communicating on, on so many levels simultaneously. Perhaps I am just the one perceiving it directly.

I doubt it is like your dead dream but you'll tell me if and when you watch it, no?

Not that thinking is the best way of experiencing the movie. Am just approaching it from my favorite foot. Otherwise am also trying to feel it.

If it got you thinking and feeling, Applause

It's been a while since I watched it. I should watch it again...

Yes, it was. I checked on the motivation behind writing the book, the writer's conditions and I found so much common ground.

But then I probably went further, probing, transforming. . . that kind of thing. Or I just got lucky.

butterflyke, here's something I'd like to say about the movie; ALL characters hate the woman but end up turning to the woman for comfort, primarily through sexual means.

The conflict in this situation is the cause of these shattered dreams. The American dream is unattainable because America doesn't want to be a mother because mothers are a source of inner conflict.

For me, am only starting to appreciate motherhood. Womanhood.
