This seems like a case of gross misconduct whereby the pilot decided to land the plane in a different airport from the scheduled one (for personal reasons). If a matatu driver decides to drive to embakasi instead of umoja (because of his personal reasons), can we say the vehicle has been hijacked? This is a case of indiscipline/ gross misconduct by the employee. It can only be a hijacking if someone put a gun on the drivers head and forced him to divert to Embakasi.
