Admitting a high number of students from academies led to this drop in performance 4 years on. This was sorted out. You must be crazy to say Starehe ni jina tu. It's like saying Alliance or Mangu ni jina tu! Set out to correct the world's wrongs and you will most certainly wind up adding to them.

I would pick starehe, their old boys club is great for future networking and even employment opportunities for the boy. It works like this, potential employers are biased to alumnnis. I think starehe retains the edge over Kabarak on this issue, Second point is if the boy grew up in Nakuru, then its imperative he moves to a school out of town so he can start discovering the rest of the world. Btw, I firmly believe that this (among other top schools) pick the creme de la creme from primary schools... why would the same school go ahead to tapa tapa in KCSE. Just my opinion. ... and am not crazy

Help a parent here! @All, you have said Starehe, but are not giving the reason. What's your reason?? They mould the kid into a model citizen. It's beyond academics. Yeah, their University performance attests to this!!!! There is one we found in a first year engineering class having re-winded year two and graduated 4 years behind us. Another one changed courses from Engineering to BA-general and still graduated after 6 years instead of 4. Yeah, I fully agree, they mould them into a modol citizen! Yeah, their University performance attests to this!!!! @McReggae ... how's their university performance? Mixed, some A students really turn out poor!!! Some A students from Alliance, Mangu, Strathmore and Precious Blood turn out poor in UNI too. Mine is not based on research but during my time, the prevalence rate on Starehe students was higher!!!! Kwani imekuwa ni malaria tena? Portfolio: Sold You know you've made it when you get a parking space for your yatcht.

Yes please give the reasons....to be more detailed the young man grew up in Nakuru and performed pretty well in last year's KCPE, The parents want him to go to Starehe but he is insisting on Kabarak(The brother and two cousins have gone through Kabarak). Starehe for me as well but how do you change the mind of the young one? hence I asked for the reasons to convince .... Take the boy to the school that he wants, thats where his heart his, this might go along way in shaping him, atleast the two schools are comparable. You might have an idea what happens to those kids who go to schools because their parents said so, took up courses because the parents said so, etc, i assume he is a bright one, huyo hata akienda Naykemincha atapita.

I would rather take the child to Starehe who will build the kid wholesome followed by exposure and networks as had been mentioned. In the business world, everyone is paid in two coins - cash and experience. Take the experience first; the cash will come later - H Geneen
