Mimi nasema there are filthy rich people everywhere as there are miserably poor people that contribute to that wealth. Every upmarket residence has a slum beside it... Its in all walks of life.
Im not going to pass judgment on anyone certainly not any Pastor. What Im going to do is follow God's instruction and pay my tithe diligently. If someone choses to misuse my tithe, they have God to answer to, its not for me to fret.
@Mukiri, why not take that tithe directly to those who need it? Buy some street kids food and clothes, children's homes, pay school fees for some needy kids, pay off some hospital bills etc? Why take it to someone who is clearly a thief? Do these so called pastors have any projects they can point to, to demonstrate that they are assisting the needy apart from payukaing every Sunday and retreating to their leafy suburbs?

Everyone has their roles laid out. You pay your tithe because its an instruction. The same instruction says where such tithe is to be paid; Where you Worship. If you are going to come up with your own rules as to what to do with your 'tithe'(For it ceases to be that when you become its 'master'), then you'd probably be much better off not paying it in the first place.
If you feel uncomfortable with where you are, why not change your place of Worship, and pay your tithe there? Judging goes against God's Word; judging and de-facing Pastors is even worse and has a prescribed punishment.
@Mukiri, didn't your Bible say you should not just accept anything? That you should question and analyze and choose only what is right? Because, some false prophets have interfered with the scripture?
If there is one thing I'll pray for is that the Lord removes
your blasphemous self from The Bible and restricts your misguided soul to the koran, until such a time you'll wisen up.

@Mukiri, what is blasphemous about being shown what is in your book, which you are told to critically look at? You mean you don't want to read, but you just want to wait for what your surmons tell you to follow?
Here are the verses you need to pay attention to:
1 John 4:1 - "Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world."
1 Thessalonians 5:21 - "but test them all; hold on to what is good"
Therefore, many of them will disguise and pretend what they are not.
They will do anything to convert people, lying and deceiving will be their method of preaching.
