What I don't understand with this guy is that from his story he claims to have seen red flags e.g. not living her phone, and he still waited for 2 years hoping to get hard evidence?

How can you suspect that your wife is sleeping around and fail to do anything about it....... This is abit puzzling I know women can do that when it comes to their husbands but MEN (i included) will not waste time waiting.
