Kimaiyo was the same guy who was saying the police force has gone through extensive reforms! That they now don't wear the "short trousers" they used to wear! If I hadn't heard it with my own ears I wouldn't have believed it...

It just goes on to confirm that police reforms can never come from an insider who has been part of the system!!!

The majority of the drivers and conductors are Wainainas,Njugunas,Kamaus, etc.Even the chairman of matatu welfare is Mbugua and in line with Jubilee the chairman of matatu owners is Kimutai.

We should focus on how to end the carjacking madness. Jubilee this jubilee that wont hel much. The carjackers don't come asking ur Cord or Jubilee...they hit on everyone bora wapate what they want. In such scenarios were passed party politics.

Is it our duty to come up with solutions or once we pay taxes the govt and by extension Kimaiyo should act.Next Kimaiyo will tell us to buy cars.

They seem to be maximizing returns both from fares and robbery. Once fares do not met their daily targets, they rob the passengers to top up. soon their touts will be shouting :" Ingia tukuimbie"

Actually, in such a case, the biggest loser are the pax and the vehicle owner. Because if the owner asks for the day's collection, he's told of the carjacking and if he goes to the police station, it's indeed recorded in the O.B. Usually, the crew are in collusion with the 'thugs' and cops to reap where they haven't sown. I have seen it happen before in days gone by on route 44; was once a victim as a passenger.
Life is like playing a violin solo in public and learning the instrument as one goes on.
