Today I was trying to understand James 1:26 Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless.I wonder if the koran has a similar surahs?

I have no problem with Torah given to Moses (pbuh).
I have no problem with Zabur given to David (pbuh).But where is the original Injil? The Injil of Jesus was never recorded. You know why? Because the Jesus at the time never believed in him. They called him "an imposter". So hi injil was lost. Later on, other people came and wrote injil according to them. What I have a problem with is people who changed the scripture. - they even burnt the orignal scrolls to hide the truth - they then forced the people to follow the new things in the Biblo (collection of books) - if you tried to oppose this, you were killed - who was leading the killing of people of God? You know him "Saul" aka "Paul" Now, when I condemn the Pope, you are upset with me. It the Catholic Church which led in the major changes in the scriptures. It was during the rein of Roman empire when Constantine and his people convened people at what was popularly known as Nicea Creed. They brought in many changes, which no prophet of God preached before.

When I started this thread I never knew it would take this direction. My prof once told me that reading the bible from historical perspective may help you understand it more than if you did it with religious inclinations. For example, why was Barabbas released at the expense of Jesus at the cross? What really happened to this Barabbas after he was released? What were the struggles of the Jewish nation between BC27 up to 15AD when the Roman leader died? Are there some other historical books written around this time, what do they say? "Peace is our profession, War is our business" ...Unknown

Yes, the original Injil does not exist in the Bible. But I believe that there was a scripture called Injil, it was revealed to Jesus (peace be upon him). However, the Bible the Christians have in their hands today is corrupted. It is not accurate as it was revealed to Moses, David and Jesus peace be upon them all. Every Muslim believes in the Injil. The Quran tells us: Quote:And remember Jesus, the son of Mary, said: "O Children of Israel! I am the apostle of God (sent) to you confirming the law (which came) before me, and giving glad tidings of an apostle to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmad." Quran sura Saff Chapter 61:6 But.. This injil of Jeus was not recorded...

Only the prophet (pbuh) Mohammad has the original version of the injil, as inspired by Allah. Is this correct?
