I have always thought of you as one of those savy investors on sk,but the way you want people to go on guessing could imply the inborn speculator in you.Teacher, the 40 students below have given their answers,do the marking.

They are not predictable on there earnings.ie they might show good half year results and then worst final results or viceversa.

The stocks whose P/Es were below 5 at the time of posting...

Just something to think about if you are preparing to take new positions...

Took my position on Sasini when it's PE was 1.56 - the lowest PE in the market, save for the loss makers. Even at the current price it is still has the lowest PE

@ Mukiha,

If KQ lost Shs. 4.50 per share, then it has a negative PE of -5. Surely,I do not believe the idea of PE can be applied to perpetual loss makers.

GG,Are you not concerned that the bulk of the Sasini's profit came from 'Increased Value of Biological Assets.'?

@mukiha - Negative PE is way worse than high PE... Based on 2008 results
* KQ (loss) though hoping for a profit in 2009-10
** Olympia (huge loss) though the UNAUDITED 1H 2009-10 was positive
*** Agricultural earnings are super-volatile due to 'Biological Changes' though I think 2009 will be great for tea producers (Sasini,WTK,Kakuzi)

@cnn,probably will. But I remember Antony my broker at the then Shah Munge who told me never to be too greedy. Set a price, when it is reached, lock in your profits.
