@guru, on the contrary, I believe I am getting to enjoy my being immensely. But I am most grateful that you are concerned about my health. Lol.

Firstly, we must understand that we are talking about statesmanship, and how citizens respond to a statesman's behavior. It is also about values and virtues that we hold and should hold.

Like in this case, what value or virtue are we talking about? Appreciation of art? Mercy? Kindness? Generosity? Wealth? Duty?

I dare not look down on the artist and his skill. And it is my hope that this boy will claim his freedom and continue to be an artist. And of course, I must congratulate his teachers.

But I question our reaction. Are paying homage to art and artistic performance? No. I don't think so. Mcreggae has said it all.

Mcreggae believes, and he has many who agree, that we are rewarding the young man's understanding and attitude about his poverty. He is a warrior who's risen in a spiritual sense, above the unpleasant world of poverty. And of course, he made many to laugh not at their poverty, but at the sweet justification of their wealth. For if the peasant is laughing at himself what can the wealthy do but laugh along?

And of course, our President, who is no doubt a well meaning person known for his generousity, and appeal to the people, had nothing else to do but reward the people's choice.

But who are these 'people'? They are the increasing members of the street families, robbers, corrupt officials, discouraged students . . . The list is endless. And all these people are fueling an unjust system that believes that it is in the nature of Man to be poor.

Poverty is a creation of Government
