Primitive energy:

Johnson Matu, who is the Project Director on the Thika Superhighway with APEC Consultants, says efforts to get the road to international standards are being eroded by vandals.
“When we started laying the street lighting cables about three kilometres were stolen and wherever we put a sign it was stolen within the hour. Road fittings ordinarily would be about 10 percent of the construction cost of the road,” he said.

Catch one of them and hang him in public through painful methods like cupping and squeezing his balls the whole day until they rapture then let the idiot be stung by a swam of wild African bees until he dies from blood clot owing to excessive histamine injection.
Shame on you

well in a country where people scramble for petrol when a tanker flips over, I don't think that will work.

just do without the signs and the lighting - its more expensive installing and following up to secure the same

you do not solve a problem by running away from it. no one would vandalise if there is nowhere to take the items. I always feel that someone is protecting some metal buyers involved in this illegal trade. cut the head of this trade and problem is solved.

Close all scrap metal companies and let them import wrought iron from SA and whatever, even if the price of seng'enge ni ng'ombe will reach the roof.

I ditto you.
