Equity has done EXTREMELY WELL. They adjusted loan rates way after KCB hence the lower interest income compared to KCB. I dare say this stock is a BUY!

somebody explain this figures FY 2011 ,its seems equity pay less tax compared to competitors or what criteria do they use????

PBT "000" ==> PAT "000"
BBK 12,012,555 ==> 8,072,637
KCB 15,129,374 ==> 10,981,046
EQUTY 12,834,019 ==> 10,325,157
coop 6,362,562 ==> 5,362,602

It is a result as of a corporate tax incentive (20%) given to encourage listings & runs for 5yrs. In Equity's case it has now expired. FY'12---> reverts to 30% corporate tax. Ref: Kengen's 25% tax rate also expired last year.

Mlenya i agree they must have a pulled a serious one on us. there must be a Gordon Ramsay over there. Ama wameficha as investments in the new subsidiaries. How much has Southern sudan contributed to that figure.
