Those who are backing it just coz it's a kadogo economy are missing a thing or two. What is the cost of the filling infrastructure? Is it viable to have them in every target settlement? Let's say we have such filling unit in mathare, how about those living in korogocho, kiambiu etc? Are they going to put them up in every informal settlement to reach their target market? Will they board a mat, to n fro, to fetch a 100bob gas,if the refilling point is a distance? Another thing, if one can afford to buy the cylinder, chances are they can afford to refill the whole cylinder. If one can only buy 200 or 100 bob worth of gas, chances are, they won't bother buying the cylinder in the first place. And to those who are saying people are rich, cut the bigotry. People are criticizing an idea, which has nothing to do with the depth of their pockets. As i said,it could fly,but i say it's a sheep to me.
