We lost a true heroine and servant of the people.
May God rest her soul in peace.

RIP Prof, mother, friend and Nobel Peace Laureate.

She was a true daughter of Kenya. One i can only hope to emulate.

I will plant 10 trees in her honor by the end of this month.

Wazuans, please feel free to hold me accountable to that.

Praying for comfort to her children and other relatives.

@Pastor M, i recognized her even when she was alive but i see no wrong in recognizing her now also.

....above all, to stand.

She deserved a state funeral .Were it not for her , Uhuru park would have been long gone with Moi and his sycophants

You were the greatest, Wangari. No other citizen of Kenya can be compared to you. You were simply the greatest, and that is a fact. Will plant a tree every week for the rest of this year in your honor.

Instead of calling my daughter Magdalyne (which was the name of a prostitute somewhere in the empire of Ceasar), I will call her Wangari Muta. She was an exemplary lady.
