well this dude being an investigative journalist aint that daft. if he put his phone in a siaya bound bus, all those tracking him will rush there... as he crosses the tanzanian border by boda boda at namanga. or he could just be living in a slum. even with 10k cash, one could survive for a month in relative comfort as he plans the next move. by then only the relatives will still be looking for him

@Pondi

obviously you have never had an altercation with the violent type. some women will attack you with a knife, bottle etc. i know respectable men who were viciously attacked by their wives/chics. what to do in such an instance? you try to hold her, and she thrusts the bread knife kwa utumbo wako. or worse, your gonads and penis. you try to leave the scene, chupa kwa kichwa! utado what?

the guy has surrendered. now lets wait for his side of the story. but he is a damn fool. he will probably end up in kamiti for the rest of his life. his wife being dead means his biological child is the real loser in this instance. very sad indeed.

...Kuna sehemu moja niliona mahali that is so so long. I asked the owner if we could chop half of it and sell. And she consented. Do you know how much it would cost?

From the story, one wonders, no matter what had transpired, was it worth it? As hard is it might be, I think one should just walk away if they feel the spouse has done something that is that is unforgivable as far as they are concerned. Languishing in jail for the rest of your life with the guilt of killing a fellow human being - especially one you loved (at one point at least) - is too much to handle. How has this Dola fellow made life better for anyone?

I think this is a domestic violence that went terribly wrong.Dola might be like most men I know who are used to beating their wifes [I have a colleague who swears to effectiveness of disciplining his wife ]then one day you use a new method and hell break loose.The postmortem showed her skull was crashed by a blunt object,This might be a fall hitting a corner of a bed or any furniture...But only Dola knows what transpired btwn them.

You might be surprised if he is charged with manslaughter and only sentenced to 2yrs in prison.

Anyway I have seen women get beaten Up by their husbands and still stay put in that marriage for years,Does that make it right..obviously not,But its the reality on the ground and No FIDA or Law will end it.

This lady worked for NTV for kido 1 year I liked her stories.

The way she was killed was rather sad,strangling.The hubby must have been pushed to the wall.For pple who were to be married by the end of the year something bad must have triggered this kind of a reaction.

Maybe in 10yrs we will see Dola explaining it in the case files.

I hear there are some class of women whom you have to strangle, albeit carefully before they can loosen up to accommodate the pinetree.
If the Dola guy was drunk, he could have over-strangled the sweet queen accidentally.
This is my own 2-cent thought.Time will tell.

What?

Read about the 'battered wife syndrome'. They need counselling and good and firm support.

Ya, it is inconsiderate not to try and look at it from the abused woman's point of view and try to understand what she could be going through
