@lovely, if i'm to understand you, you buy a couple of a company's share in batches at different prices on different days then sell after settlement buying some more of the same on the same day of settlement and assume that you have sold the same batch? If i'm right i still see you making losses coz for one to make profits you first have to cover commissions which totals to more than 4.2%and thus one has to sell when the share is up by more than 5% which is still marginally low if you don't deal with volumes notwithstanding administrative costs. In our market only speculative shares (OCH, Neveready, Sameer, Sasini e.t.c) go up by more than 5% during times when there is no material info out there while the others only rally on material info.(Simply they correlate to the index movement based on market factors like inflation, political risk, international commodity prices e.t.c).
If i do my simple risk assessment and probability of a share like KCB or NIC gaining or losing more than 5% within a normal CDSC settlement period which is T+4, i find the whole process making no sense at all.

Her purchase prices for KCB,NIC,Kengen dont make sense.the shares simply did not trade at those prices today according to the NSE daily price list...
If she is talking of odd lots, she should come out clear...

Which would then raise a very interesting question.. how can one know of, and purchase the odd lots on offer???

Before I buy and sell I minus the 4.2 but my broker takes 3.8 instead. The difference is my profit. When I buy I already know I'll sell @ what price hence my calculations are always right.

The market, unlike God, does not forgive those who know not what they do. stick to your system that works by ur standards. Izi njaro za lovely ni mwenda. As long as napata pesa monthly, let me continue buying my value stocks and hold, never did fancy frequent trading.

calling a frequent trader an investor is like calling a person who has frequent one night stands a romantic.

NB: no way directed to lovely or any other day trades, just a line from the Oracle himsetlf. All the best.

I think we should just stick to what works for us. If you make money daily or after 10 years, so be it. This issue is heating up.

Can't or won't?

I thought you've been trying to explain all along... is it a secret strategy now? I'm getting confused.Think

In theory what you are saying is possible. The big question is whether we can get such spreads (5% to 10%) within a trading day CONSISTENTLY ENOUGH to have it as a trading strategy. You also need to spend a lot of time following activity & you need luck to actually get your order executed at the right price.
