True Guys, I think you misunderstand - the Kshs 200 goes to an independent company that is charged with porting the lines...initially it was suggested that all operators be stakeholders in that company. The real question is, will there be enough porting to make a business case for the new company?

If safcom didnt issue a profit warning and the year has ended today, they're in the money...?! My expection is no profit dip?! Mpesa users & data going parabolic yet again. If this turns out right, competition will be utterly shocked. This elephant has a way with doing the impossible number feats just like in 2009. Most will site book cooking
But 2011 going fwd will be quite shaky.$15/barrel oil... The commodities lehman moment arrives as well as Sovereign debt volcano!

Safcom may have the upper hand and end up upsetting the apple-cart for airtel.
The have doled out some enticing goodies to airtel subscribers that are hard to ignore. Lets wait and see who weathers this one.
