Billions of barrels. Aha! Now imagine how vast this hydrocarbons ocean is from Ethiopia till Mozambique! Now picture this region 10yrs from now as production gears up. Next picture double digit GDP growth of 10 - 15%. Real estate, consumer sector, infrastructure, energy - follow the money.
Trivia - Will Toyota be the car for 2020 - 2030 with oil money lining pockets?
Assumptions - EA is peaceful, EA gubberments dont screw up, EA uses the hydrocarbons & rare earth mineral revenues wisely, devolution is evenly balanced and last but not least, politicians potbellies burst since they ate too much & cant 'eat' anymore like a stuffed up puppy
$15/barrel oil... The commodities lehman moment arrives as well as Sovereign debt volcano!

Did anyone see the article on how the US will surpass Saudi Arabia as the biggest producer of oil by 2025? What implications would this have on Kenya's newly found oil? Also considering the US is pushing usage of electric cars, what implications will those have on oil companies?

I saw it, but experts said they highly doubt its feasible, on electric cars, I watched a docu on CNBC, and the car will be out of reach of many. One car was costing about 70K. Anyway, i dont think the US will be Kenyas primary market, China will be "There are only two emotions in the market, hope & fear. Lets wait and see I know the US has strategic oil reserves and they are basically using other countries' oil and saving theirs for tougher times. And they have never been deterred from owning something coz its "expensive", they take out loans so anyone can own almost anything. Interesting about China, time will tell.

China has for a while been buying commodities in bulk and hoarding them, i hav no idea why but maybe they want to resell them later at a higher price while controlling the market...on reuters today http://www.reuters.com/a...s-idUSL3E8MD2V620121113
In Oct they imported 5.58 million barrels per day (bpd), the third-highest this year. I wonder if they use it all. "There are only two emotions in the market, hope & fear. The problem is you hope when you should fear & fear when you should hope: - Jesse Livermore .

Would anyone happen to know the outcome of East Africa oil and gas summit? Also in terms of profit sharing with the govt of kenya from 10% to 25%, is it going to affect companies that had already signed their contracts with gok or will it be applied to new companies? Energy.

Murchr Camac CEO last week implemented a plan to buy $2 Million worth of his company's stock from now till Feb next year to instill confidence in investors about the stock. Stock is up 60% in the last month, hope hii si Nigerian 419 scam. But on the positive side, they have property next to L8, and Anadarko will start drilling in that area in Dec. Though Simba imenichosha, its always asleep, debating whether I should sell it and get more Camac.

I noticed Camac's spike last week, ive been waiting for any sort of news sikuelewa ni nini....as for AOI...this wait is just too much. Have you noticed they are now going to drill Twiga North b4 Kongoni? I dont why. "There are only two emotions in the market, hope & fear. Saa hii its less than 0.10. today they announced that they will sell 40% of their block in Lamu to raise funds for drilling...I guess its the company that Kiraitu was reffering to when he said they have to pay taxes for capital gains. Very useless people i really pity those who bought it at 0.27 "There are only two emotions in the market, hope & fear.
