I think with good activism we can get a better offer we just need 26% of the Investors to frustrate this deal....at least we get 16 or 20 bob per share.

No, as the conditions of the offer will not have been fulfilled.

Yes, the press notices to shareholders almost seem to indicate desperation to gain the required number of shares. It seems this is not happening.
